Trying my hand at writing a novel in the fan fiction genre of "What if?" using Jane Austen's ever popular Pride & Prejudice. I will do my utmost to do right by Miss Austen, and promise no vampires, zombies, sea monsters or the like will infiltrate my pages. Amen.
I've added a prologue in the anticipation that anyone, being familiar with P&P or not, would be able to have everything they needed to know in just 2 pages before they start my story. Am I missing anything that applies to my story?? I don't know how to put it ahead of my first chapter here at my blog unless I just add it as part of the first chapter.
Coming soon: Extended Chapter 5 with more D&E&C.F love triangle. Still working on it...
It's really quite perfect, Amy. Familiar, yet uniquely yours. And I think that it improves your story, and, like you said, makes it more meaningful to someone who isn't extremely well-versed in P&P.
It is consise yet does a very clear job of setting up your story and the relationships. A nice addition. Well done. Elyse
