What a big liar I am!

You broke me. You sighed, you whimpered, and you apparently twitched. Here is Chapter 11 two days early...

  1. Sweeeeet! Of course it's after midnight for me, so its only one day early. (Pines of Rome for musical background. Not sure if that is fortuitous or not.) Off to read!

  2. Wow, that was NOT where I expected you to go. At least Lydia is saved from Wickham. I just hope dear Charles fesses up to what he's been doing. I have a sneaky suspicion it has everything to do with taking care of Wickham.

  3. If I weren't married...and female...I'd ask you to have my babies. THANK YOU!

  5. Well, I was just heading to bed when I stopped by here for one last look-see and found you had posted again.

Ahhhhhh...that feels much better. Withdrawal averted.

LOVELY chapter! I'm so glad to see Elizabeth starting to heal some of her wounds and beginning to question the validity of her insecurities.

As for that ache when she heard his voice...yes, yes, I know how she feels. Honestly, you could be describing this reader's reaction.

  7. Oh my, the emotions you inflict....joy, misery, anxiety, awe, desperation. How will we survive until next Sunday?

  9. I was getting a start on the laundry. Two teenage boys in Track + spouse who goes for a run after work + I'm coaching track = a LOT of (smelly) clothes to wash.

  10. Wonderful, as usual. I didn't comment on Chapter 10, but I did want to say that you describe Elizabeth's music perfectly. That is exactly what it feels like to lose yourself in the music. It is total escape from the world and all its problems. It is a balm for the soul. It is worship at its best.

  12. Yay! Can I put on my tiara to accept it, Carrie??

First of all, I would like to thank the beautiful and brilliant Miss Jane Austen...

Now I have to figure out how to post the link on my blog and then I have to find 12 other bloggers. I know only you, Carrie. I'm a sad excuse, aren't I??

Thanks for all the love, everyone. Chapter 12 has been SO much fun. I giggled for an hour together while I was writing one particular scene. Got to balance out the angst with some humor. Don't tell anyone, but I might be able to be talked into posting that one early too. :0)

  13. I'm dissappointed she hasn't read his letter yet.
Other than that, it was lovely. Perhaps seeing his house and realizing its not ostentatious will help her feel more comfortable about the idea of being mistress... ;)

  14. Put on the Tiara!! And,I say put it on your blog anyway!!! (all you have to do is click on the picture and save the file to your pc)
I give you permission to pass it on when and where you choose... you can do it one at a time. I don't think the blog police will hunt you down. (I hope not anyway... if they do find you... I was never here);P

  16. I cleaned up Chapter 11 even more and re-posted it, if anyone cares. I also put up my shiny new "Sunshine Award"--thanks, dearest Carrie. I'm so darn proud of it! :0)

I CAN'T wait to post Chapter 12!! I think it might be my favorite so far. Even rivals Chapter 5 where we meet Mademoiselle Adele and get to flirt with both Darcy and the Colonel. I'm still obsessing over it and making it sing.

What will I do when this is all over? Oh yes, work on my next book which I have already started...
